Founding and History
Langer Material Handling, Inc. was founded by William (Bill) Langer Jr. in December of 1984. Bill had 29 years experience in the material handling Industry when he decided to go out on his own with his eldest son Kevin. Bill and Kevin started out as an independent service company selling used forklifts and renting forklifts to their customers.
The company was originally located in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. In 1991 a new facility was built in Glade Mill Industrial Park, Valencia Pennsylvania.
In 1986 the company started representing the AC Material Handling Company which then became the Kalmar-AC fork, a spinoff of the Allis Chalmers Company.
In 1993 Langer Material Handling, Inc. started representing Mitsubishi forklift truck products.
In 2005 we added Cat® lift trucks and in 2010 we continued our expansion by adding the Jungheinrich fork lift line.
In January 2013 Bill decided to retire and sold the business to Kevin.
2014 saw Langer Material Handling, Inc. celebrate the anniversary milestone of 30 years of providing quality material handling products and service to our customers!
The fall of 2016 saw Langer Material Handling add 2 new lines to our product offerings! The Doosan and Heli lines of lift trucks and industrial vehicles expand what we can bring to meet our client's needs.
